About Pakistan Air Force PAF (Introduction)
The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the Pakistan Armed Forces. Its primary responsibility is the aerial defence of Pakistan; secondary responsibilities include providing air support as needed to the Pakistan Army and Navy; and tertiary responsibilities include giving Pakistan access to strategic airlift capability. The PAF operated at least 970 aircraft as of 2021, according to the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and has more than 70,000 active-duty troops.
