The National Highway Authority (NHA) is a federal government body in Pakistan that is in charge of the building, operation, and maintenance of the country’s national highways and motorways. The National Highway Authority Act of 1991 formed it in 1991.

Candidates having qualifications Matric, Bachelor, Master, Ph.D, Relevant Diploma, LLB, LLM are eligible to apply for the following vacant posts:
- Assistant Directors (LM & IS) (BS-17):
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Information Technology/Computer Science is required.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
- Age: There is a maximum age limit of 40 years.
- Deputy Directors (Engineers) (BS-18):
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Age: The maximum age is 40 years.
- Deputy Directors (LM & IS) (BS-18):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Age: The maximum age is 35 years.
- Patwari (BS-05):
- Matriculation or a similar qualification is required.
- No prior experience is required.
- Age: There is a maximum age limit of 25 years.
- Qanoongo (BS-09):
- Matric or comparable education required.
- No prior experience is required.
- Age: There is a maximum age limit of 25 years.
The aforementioned posts will be filled in accordance with the terms and conditions approved by the Finance Division of the Government of Pakistan under the Standard Pay Package for Project Staff. Furthermore, relaxation of the upper age limit will be provided in accordance with Federal Government Rules.
The project staff will be hired on a contract basis, initially for a duration of no more than two years. Following that, their contracts may be renewed on a yearly basis, subject to performance appraisal, until the project is completed.
