About NADRA (Introduction)

The National Database Organization (NDO), a department attached to the Ministry of Interior of the Government of Pakistan, and the Directorate General of Registration Pakistan, a division established under the 1973 Constitution, were combined to form the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), which was established on March 10th, 2000. The National Database & Registration Authority is an independent, autonomous organization that reports to the Interior Secretary of Pakistan. It oversees the management of sensitive registration data for all Pakistani citizens as well as the regulation of government databases.
