About National Police Foundation NPF (Introduction)
To assist police officers and their families, the National Police Foundation was created as a Trust in March 1975 under the Charitable Endowments Act of 1890. An active Inspector General of Police serves as its leader. A Committee of Administration overseen by the Secretary of the Interior Division as ex-officio chairman approves the annual budget, keeps tabs on the Foundation’s operations, and establishes policy guidelines in accordance with the administrative structure and constitution. The Secretary of the Interior Division serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors, with the Managing Director of the NPF serving as Vice Chairman.
