About National Archives of Pakistan (Introduction)
The Government of Pakistan created the National Archives of Pakistan with the aim of conserving and making accessible both public and private archives that are relevant to Pakistan’s history, culture, and heritage. The non-current records of the Pakistani government are kept in the National Archives of Pakistan. Many sources, including different printings of the Pakistan Year Book and Economic Survey of Pakistan, are used to compile the information at the National Archives of Pakistan. The South and West Asian Regional Branch of the International Council on Archives is a regional affiliate of the International Council on Archives, of which the National Archives of Pakistan is a member (SWARBICA).
